Where did I get THAT name?

I've had a couple of people ask where the odd names I've been getting for my lighting creations now. Past creations depended on who had inspired or commissioned the piece for it's name. Hense, the "Ashlinn, Bailey, etc."

As I have been creating more and more stuff, it became obvious I needed a more dynamic naming scheme. Still full of whimsy, but now with a theme, all lighting designs come with a little bit of the sea. Binnacle, Coaming, Bit, Coxwain are all nautical terms and reflect back my love of the sea.

So, there you go, why my items have the new names, who knows, maybe the next lamp will be the Avast!

Wouldn't you know it...

I had intended on getting the prefabs out this weekend, but ran completely out of time to do so. I'm going to be away in RL with very limited connectivity for the next 2 weeks. preparations for this trip basically consumed my weekend.

That being said, I DID get a few new creations done and out for sale at the Angel Square location. Four new lights, three ceiling lamps, and one cantilevered floor lamp that is a perfect accent for open spaced concepts. Tuck it behind a sofa and the lamp arcs out into your floor space, floating in mid air to light up the room.

I'll see everyone on the 17th!

New Store Location!

That's right people, I've got a brand new store location in world. Found on Angel Square, the sim owned by one of my best friends in world, Bailey Longcloth. It's actually rapidly evolving to be my "main" location, with a lighting section, furniture suites, and coming this weekend prefabs! Yes, you hear me right, I'm getting those long promised prefabs out, each will come furnished, or unfurnished. All are optimized for 512 - 1024 sized plots with room left over in your prim budget to add you own touch of style.

Come down and have a look at my newest designs, a pair of fairly light strings, one long, one short. Buy one of each and mix and match. They are on of my few COPY only items, which lets you put them to the best use where ever you want.

On the lighting front, all my old designs are slowly being revamped to allow for glow if you are using the windlight client. If you have an older copy of a lamp and want a new version with glow, drop me the lamp and a notecard and I'll send you a updated version!

The Amy Suite - ultra clean and comfortable

Mondays, it seems, will be My day for getting out the new stuff. So there the first hint for this blog and my designs. Today sees the official release of the Amy Suite. A clean, no hassle design inspired by some classics in mid-20th century modern design.

It comes in two colours, a light creame and a charcoal, with a neat, subtle leather that has an easy grain that perfectly complements the clean lines of this design. The Suite comes with an armchair, sofa, ottoman, occasional table, and a floor lamp.

Come by the store and check out the charcoal suite in it's entirety, and as an added bonus, one of the creame armchairs is also on display. As usual, no poseballs, but plenty of poses (HINT: check the armchair... it has more then one pose!)

Valentines Day release!

What, it isn't St. Valentine's day yet? Ok, well, you have me there. This is my newest creation, a chair set and table that reflects the shape of a heart in the table and the chair's legs.

Created originally as a stool for a bar design, it was pointed out to me that the chair's curves looked much like half of a heart. The idea stuck, and so here it is! Limited release, I'm going to have it out at the main store until the 15th.

Many thanks to Kerowynn for the idea!

There is also a new suite out, including a lamp, sofa, armchair, ottoman and a neat ocasional table. Right at the entrance to the shop, it comes in charcoal and creame.
